Kodo Kids

Kodo Kids offers professional development opportunities designed to empower early childhood educators in fostering inquiry-based, play-focused learning. Their programs, rooted in “Investigation-Based Teaching Practices,” guide teachers in thoughtfully facilitating children’s learning and development through open-ended materials and strategies. This includes both in-person and virtual learning options, with a focus on integrating STEM and literacy, enhancing classroom environments for engineering, and fostering meaningful investigations.

Early Childhood Council Leadership Alliance

The Early Childhood Council Leadership Alliance (ECCLA) offers professional development through various services, including reflective supervision and consultation. Their reflective supervision program provides a trusting, collaborative space for early childhood professionals, including coaches, teachers, and directors, to process challenges, explore emotions, and enhance their practice. This service, often offered in group or individual sessions, aims to build reflective capacity, improve program quality, and support the retention of effective early childhood professionals across Colorado.

Pyramid Colorado

The Pyramid Colorado training program offers comprehensive professional development to early childhood educators, focusing on the Pyramid Model, an evidence-based framework for promoting children’s social-emotional development and inclusion. This 50-hour training equips professionals with strategies to address challenging behaviors, foster positive social interactions, and create nurturing environments for children from birth to five. The program also provides opportunities for certified facilitator training, expanding the reach of the Pyramid Model across Colorado’s early childhood workforce.

EQIT Colorado

The Expanding Quality in Infant Toddler Care (EQIT) program in Colorado offers a 48-hour professional development course specifically designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of individuals working with infants and toddlers. Through 16 interactive modules, participants delve into crucial topics like brain development, responsive caregiving, social-emotional growth, and effective curriculum strategies, often with the option for college credit. EQIT aims to improve the quality and availability of responsive group care for Colorado’s youngest children, offering additional support through relationship-based coaching (EQ RELATE) to help providers apply new understandings in their practice.
